Culture — and especially food — has a unique ability to bring people together across borders, languages, and lived experiences. Our fundraising model is participatory and partnership-driven. We collaborate with chefs, cultural institutions, businesses, grassroots organisations, and international supporters to design initiatives that are inclusive, scalable, and impact-focused. Each project is developed with care to ensure funds raised translate into tangible, sustainable outcomes. We are committed to long-term recovery. We support projects that restore livelihoods, rebuild social infrastructure, and strengthen communities, ensuring that recovery efforts are locally informed and culturally grounded. As a registered UK Community Interest Company, our governance model balances strategic oversight with operational flexibility, enabling us to work closely with donors, partners, and local communities to respond to urgent needs while investing in long-term recovery. Every decision is made with accountability, transparency and care, enabling our supporters to see how their generosity transforms into tangible results. We continuously review our policies and procedures to ensure a robust governance and operational framework delivering measurable impact. Our board of trustees provides strategic oversight and ensures adherence to regulatory standards, while operational leadership facilitates flexible, scalable programme delivery. This structure supports cross-border collaboration with partners, donors, and communities in the U.K., Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. We are fully committed to open and efficient resource mobilisation, and evidence-based decision-making. Whilst our overall governance model is designed to maintain accountability while fostering innovation, responsiveness in post-conflict recovery remains our key priority. Borsch Wednesdays, our innovative and collaborative partnership programme, aims to engage over 100,000 restaurants worldwide. Participating venues serve Ukrainian borsch on Wednesdays, as part of their chef’s special offering. Diners come to expect borsch as a charitable giving opportunity, while restaurants also make contributions to our reconstruction projects. We envision Borsch Wednesdays becoming a recognisable global brand and movement — shared moments each week when the world comes together over a bowl of borsch for good.
